The EU project Energy Efficiency in Argentina has already set up 4 Learning Networks made up of 10-15 industrial establishments each. These establishments are in the process of implementing an Energy Management System (ISO 50001) in order to achieve savings in their consumption.
Participating organizations set a joint goal based on the improvement potentials identified and they meet regularly to exchange experiences and progress.
The activities carried out in the classroom workshops consist of training in energy analysis tools for the diagnosis and development of the management system.
The activities carried out in the company workshops are aimed at putting into practice the knowledge acquired on the three most determining requirements of the management system directly on the processes and activities of the companies where the workshops are carried out. These three requirements are: Energy Review, Operational Controls and Monitoring, Savings Measurement and Verification.
Participating companies must provide the Network with basic information on their production and activity and on energy systems and consumption according to energy sources. The key information is private and is only shared with the experts and the moderator of the Network.
