CONFERENCE ON ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN INDUSTRY IN THE CITY OF RAFAELA

Representatives of the European project "Energy Efficiency in Argentina" participated in the seminar on “Energy Efficiency in Industry” organized by the National University of Rafaela (UNRaf) and the Commercial and Industrial Center of Rafaela and the Region (CCIRR). The event took place on May 13 in the City of Rafaela.

The objective was to promote the available tools and contribute to increase the energy efficiency in industries, with the support of technological advances and public policies that could materialize in specific programs and projects.The activity was open by the Rector, Rubén Ascúa, and the President of the CCIRR, Andrés Ferrero. Among the participants, we can also mention: Maria Paz Caruso- Director of the Institute for Sustainable Development of Rafaela, Florencia Donnet- Director of Energy Efficiency in Buildings and Public Sector, Undersecretary of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energies of the Ministry of Finance of the Nation and the José Luis Larrégola Ferrer, representative of the project financed by the European Union, "Energy Efficiency in Argentina". During the event, the UNRaf and the Undersecretary of National State committed to form a Working Group on Energy Efficiency in buildings, and in particular public buildings, to survey all the actions carried out in Argentina, Brazil and Europe in this area, and to develop a procedure that determines energy indicators in tertiary buildings.In addition, UNRaf will form a technical-academic team to support the aforementioned Working Group to actively work on the development of a procedure for obtaining an energy label for buildings for tertiary use and to develop, together with energy managers, guides and training for a more responsible use of energy.
