The launch meeting of the Pilot for the Efficient management of Transport Fleets was held. Authorities from the National Energy Secretariat, the Energy Secretariat of the Province of Rio Negro and the Provincial Roads participated together with the experts of the Energy Efficiency project.
The main objective of these transport pilots is to implement an efficient management system to improve energy and environmental performance, develop driving capabilities for key fleet personnel and design a system for monitoring and verifying results.
Representatives of the Secretary of Energy of the Nation highlighted the transport sector, mainly the highway sector, as the largest fuel consumer in the Country. From this data arises the need to develop indicators that allow us to measure and implement measures to efficiently reduce this consumption.
Representatives of the Provincial Secretariat showed the importance of the development of Energy Efficiency, therefore the opening to participate in this type of Projects, incorporating in this particular case Rionegrina Road, who will have one of their vehicle fleets to implement the pilot project, with an approximate number of 170 vehicles, both heavy and light.
Consequently, through a multi-stage methodology, our experts will implement the recommendations of the European standards for the management of transport fleets, focusing mainly on the survey of existing data, the identification of savings opportunities and their subsequent verification.
